2011

Good morning!! I hope you are having a great start on a Monday.

I wanted to confess about a topic that have been etching for a debate quite a while now. You see, I do blog. Heck, not only I am a blogger, but I create recipes and photograph as well.

I might be perceived as an out-goer with a great personality. Well, who am I to reject those qualities? But I want to come clean. I have a shy personality.

Garnered I’ve attended a handful of social events. Admittedly I still have problem in breaking the ice. It’s a term used as making an introduction to a complete stranger and getting to know more people by making a fool out of myself. Well, that’s my definition. I have trouble communicating my thoughts and I blame it on various reasons:

of what took place 10 years ago.

I recall talking to my mom and my then boyfriend while having dinner together. The news channel was on. And there was a major breaking news update. News anchor shouts, “a plane hits  into the World Trade Center!

I was numbed and immediately lost an appetite for Mom’s delicious foods. We ditched our meals and sat glued to our seats, watching the horrific events unfolding. Don’t remind me of Angry Birds. It just angers me.

.. to September!! Out with the sweltering hot, in with the rain and crisp weather. Hoping hurricane season would die out soon. How time flies, it’s beyond my understanding.

I am loving everyone’s comment from my last post, “the power of giving“. It is so refreshing to know that many of you are into charity and donating to needy. There’s nothing better than the feeling of making a difference in others life.

Happy Thursday friends 🙂

Today we would discuss about charity and the power of giving to change people’s life.

Orlando Union Rescue Mission

We were off last weekend to deliver some food and clothing to a homeless shelter called Orlando Union Rescue Mission in Downtown Orlando. There was a Groupon deal for Old Navy recently. We bought the deal and decided to get some new clothing for the shelter instead of donating old ones all over again. It feels nice to give something new instead of getting a new set of clothes for myself. The closet is well beyond pack at the moment, begging to purge. Clearly I don’t need a new blouse or skirt any time soon.
