Have you ever been to a dance class? I’ve never been to one before, and was brave enough to opt for a burlesque dance class at Studio K, thanks to Katy Widrick for the invitation. What a class to begin with, huh? Well, life is about taking some risk and having fun π Friday night was spent braving some daring and scandalous moves and trying my level best not to trip over the chair! And ladies, don’t attempt to do burlesque routine in jeans. Trust me, it was so uncomfortable.
Katy and I was joined by Bess Auer & Kelly Walker – I love all of them, my Orlando blends!
Everyone (except me of course!) did so well with the routine. From where I was standing, I couldn’t see much of the instructor’s moves. Katy became my visual guide and I just followed through. Overall, I had a blast and from what I saw and read, everyone else did too. Pssst! The feather boa is a keeper and I can’t wait to try Dance Trance π
Have you tried Burlesque before? If no, would you try or are you taking other classes?

Good for you trying burlesque! I’ve never done it, but have pole dancing on my list of things to try! I may just have to add burlesque, too! The trick, I’ve learned, is not to worry about getting all the moves on the first try, but to keep moving and have fun! I usually laugh all the way through my first class of anything new!
Glad you had a good time and I’m jealous that you can meet up with some tweeps now and then!

Tricia,
Thanks dear. It was indeed a daring, yet a pleasant surprise. The instructor did an amazing choreography, so the credit goes to her to have made me want to return again for more π I was also giggling away throughout the class. A much needed fun time to spend with wonderful blends.
I had so much fun, Kiran. Let’s definitely head to another.
Bess,
So true! We need to do it again. After the 4th? I was thinking to head over for Dance Trance and see which one would I prefer.
This sounds so much fun! I never tried Burlesque before but I’m definitely looking forward to your dancing video whenever you’re ready, Kiran. π Love the quote ‘life is about taking some risk and having fun’, that’s a good spirit.

Ching Ya,
Hey dear! Believe me, it was so much fun. Here’s the link to the video that was taken that day, but I am no where to be found because I had to leave a little early for a date night with the Hubs π What do you think about Burlesque? I am sure you can find a class as such in KL.

Wish I could view the video, sadly it was blocked due to ‘This video contains content from Sony Music Entertainment, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds. ‘ Guess I don’t have that luck. π I’m not living in KL, but Sarawak instead. Do enjoy your date night!

I assumed you were based in KL! What is wrong with me? π
Anyways, you might be able to watch the video via Studio K’s Facebook page: http://www.facebook.com/studiokorlando
Keeping my fingers crossed, and yes, we had a great date night. Thanks π
Good for you for getting out there & trying something new. I haven’t tried this but I recently gave Zumba a shot and really enjoyed it.

Di,
Thanks dear, it was so much fun. I heard many great things about Zumba as well. Any dancing to me, it’s eventually a work-out π
