Happy 2009 Resolutions

We ushered 2009, the first new year in our new home, with dear family’s and friends πŸ™‚ Great fun, lots of food, music, watching Times Square countdown on TV, and Walt Disney World firework’s indulgence in our backyard. It was awesomeness and magical. Somewhere along the festivities, I caught a glimpse of hope and peace for 2009. I know it in my heart that we can be safe and tremendously happy. I know that we prayed for unity, safety and security. I know that we ushered in 2009 with loads of love. I sense that we all reunited, at least for one day, with similar purposes. So, tell me. How did you usher in your new year? πŸ™‚

I love new year resolutions. It keeps me grounded with my goals. I have to set them, specifically because I lack in time management. OK, I’ve said it. I am not good at everything, and it is not a shame for me to admit it. Yes, I do lack time management skills. I am so used to time tables and alerts so often that I experience helplessness without my virtual assistant. Without further waste of your precious time, here are the list of my 2009 goals – unfortunately, I forgot to add : work on my time management skills! Ignorance is bliss, that’s what I heard! πŸ˜€

My 2009 Resolutions

What are your new year resolution’s or goals?

Have a Safe, Blessed and Happy 2009!

The last one is so interesting. I have been living at my current apartment for a while and still dont know who lives next door πŸ˜‰

me: The community where we are living currently is still developing. In fact, my neighbors just moved into their new homes. Meet and greet time! It’s important to know your aju-baju neighbors, go and meet them Atul πŸ˜€

I stopped making new resolutions long back πŸ™‚

me: πŸ™‚ I can understand. But I need some motivation to get things done. And resolutions keeps me grounded. I don’t take them too seriously though πŸ˜‰ I just make do with the time I have.

I like #2, #7, and (selfishly) #8 πŸ™‚ the best, although all are really good and worthy goals! It is certainly no shame to not be good at everything! We’re only human. I think we are on our way to peace. I’m happy you had a nice new year celebration.

me: Thanks Muse, certainly words of encouragement from friends would drive me towards achieving goals that I’ve set for myself. Since we just moved into our new home, to decorate it would take time and a lot of labor & love πŸ™‚ So, I am just taking one step at a time planning for small projects that I think are realistically achievable!

πŸ™‚
I have stopped taking resolutions πŸ˜› ..because anyway i was not following them πŸ˜›

me: Happy 2009 Arvind and welcome back to the blogging world! Better late than never, right? πŸ˜€ I like making resolutions, it keeps me grounded and well focused. Not every one can afford a personal assistant, right?

Aha!! More resolutions! I thnk its a way to make yourself sad because no one is able to achieve all of them. πŸ˜›

me: πŸ˜€ I don’t see it as a way to make myself sad. That’s a negative approach, no? Resolution keeps me grounded and focused on achieving set goals. If I don’t achieve all, it’s OK. Life is not all about resolutions πŸ™‚ There are other responsibilities as well πŸ™‚

1, 2, 3, 5, 8: these are most common resolutions that everyone takes. I, too made 8th resolution last year and failed miserably. πŸ™

I hope you are successful in what you have set to do. My best wishes! I am sure you will manage with flying colours. πŸ™‚

me: Thanks for the wishes Poonam, truly need a lot of encouragements from my fellow blogging buddies. It keeps me motivated in achieving my set goals! If I am not mistaken, you contribute as a writer in several other blogs right? It is difficult to blog often, but so far you are doing great! Good luck πŸ™‚

@ Kiran : Ah resolutions! If only I was resolute. However I am partial to being swayed by the winds that blow in mind. Its nice to see that you have enjoyed your new year. I wish you all the success for 2009.

me: Welcome Odzer, Thank You for visiting Chatterbox and your kind wishes! Well, resolutions serve different purposes individually. For me, I see it as my personal assistant that keeps me grounded with set goals. I know it’s hard to achieve, but I always try to find a positive mind and work towards it. Have a blessed 2009 to you and your loved ones πŸ™‚

wah, you made many resolutions – best of luck in doing them all! i like that sense of purpose resolutions seem to give me, but when i make mine, i try to be realistic – not the typical, idealistic sort like “losing weight”! πŸ˜†

me: Thanks Sulz. Yeah, losing weight shouldn’t just be a new year resolution. It should fit in your daily diet, by eating healthy. Resolution keeps me grounded which incorporates personal realistic targets. I have projects lined up as soon as I return from my trip to India and Malaysia, stay tuned for that!
