Time flies. It’s 2 days since my 32nd birthday, and I am still in denial. Not the fact that we had an amazing dinner at Magic Wok (again), but that I am already in my 30s. Can I stay 29 forever? π
Believe it, I ordered the same menu we had during Hubby’s birthday. It was that GOOD.
The only difference this time was a complimentary dessert. It was a mango jello topped with whipped cream. It was not too bad.
Rarely we’d left a Chinese restaurant without a fortune cookie. It’s just a fun way to end our meal.
Me – Stop worrying and take a chance (Hint: SocialKube, our full of potential company)
Hubby – An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest (Hint: Hubby has been planning for some time now to do MBA)
Perhaps these are some real signs to eventually nudge us in realizing our dreams?
Have you came across something that read so much resemblance to your life? Do you believe in fortune cookies/palm readings etc?
happy birthday today! Mine too but I’m a bit older than you. (43 and not afraid to admit it) π
The only time I celebrated (announced) my birthday over this blog was in 2009. We celebrated the big 3-0 during a visit to India. How does it feels since then?
As of today, I am adding 2 more years of wisdom.
Appearance of GRAY HAIR! Nightmarish!
Added responsibility, (ahem) weight & backaches.
Completed MBA. Phew! Currently thinking about PhD. Kid you not.
Love every minute as a SAHW (stay at home wife) with flexible priorities. Less of “Just Do It”, more of “Do It Later”. Sort of laid-back.
Health becomes a priority i.e yoga, biking & running.
I am more likely to have similar experiences with people I often converse with. Do I feel smarter if I can relate? That’s a topic to discuss some day π
Proactive arguments wins all the time.
Sense of personal style.
Negotiation skills are test and put in good use.
More nieces and nephews are added in the birthday book.
I have OLD friends. Just kidding, you know who you are π
Taking health supplements and reading nutrition labels.
Being in the 20s seems mischievous with least caution. Do I miss it? Hell, yeah.
Took a little risk with a vlog. Don’t stone me for it π
Here’s to another year of awesomeness, a little acceptance towards wrinkles, GRAY HAIR (Yikes!) & backaches. Cheers π
Clearly my failed attempt at baking a brownie almost had me kicking myself. Instead of using all purpose flour, I accidentally threw in self-rising flour. That (supposed) brownie turned out puffy, dry and cakey. Eatable, but not that we would go for seconds or thirds. Sorry Hubby. I tried to salvage the celebration last Friday with a celebratory night out stretched well into weekend π Yup, the Hubby had loads of fun this year π
We have a fun evening planned that includes stuffing ourselves with brownies, dinner and movie. The celebrations continues tomorrow at Epcot & Magic Kingdom. Wahoo! Leaving you with a photo of what’s baking in the oven.
Have a great day and Happy Birthday Babe, Love Ya π
Edit: No, we couldn’t visit Epcot & Magic Kingdom but stay tuned to know where and how we celebrated π
Today, 6th April 2009, isΒ my birthday. Not a very long post as I am still in India and travelling all over. I want to blog more often, as soon as possible. But time doesn’t permit. As soon as I arrive in the US, I shall commence blogging and replying to subscribed feedreader’s as well. I dare not look at my feed count. I am sure it has crossed 1000 post! Missing the blogosphere π I have so many photos and travel post to share soon. Tune in for that! Take care family and friends π
