…. All is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace.. Sleep in heavenly peace…
Silent night, holy night
Shepherds quake at the sigh
Glories stream from heave afar
Heaven hosts sing Alleluia
Christ, the Savior is born…Christ, the Savior is born…
Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love’s pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth…Jesus, Lord at Thy birth…”
My all time favorite Christmas carol 🙂 While growing up, I was introduced to Christianity by dad. Daddy studied in all English school during British invasion here in Malaysia. He read the bible, and we attend caroling, cooking and choir lessons at the local church. Those were the fun days. I would anxiously wait for Sunday masses. Sigh! Childhood has come and go, but memories are as strong as before 🙂 Looking forward to a joyful, harmonious, safe and happy Christmas. May all your dreams come true, including having extra left-overs as to avoid bustling in kitchen while ushering 2009 😉 Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and Happy New Year to all of C h a t t e r B o x’s fellow readers and blog buddies 🙂 Please exercise caution you guys, especially while traveling during this holiday season. Bidding adieu with some delectable snaps taken during my recent visit to one of the local shopping centers here in Florida.
Love,

Happy Navratri and Dushera everyone!
My dear Hubby, thanks a lot for covering some post whilst I was away tucked under heaps of books and research. I hope many of you out there indulged in Tarun’s view on political and economical situation. I want to hear more on that from you guys. My MBA has bogged me down with quite to do for the last few weeks. This semester is over now, looking forward to my last semester which is just around the corner. So I have many agenda to catch up with before the deadly semester starts 😉
I need to start preparing for Karva Chauth and Diwali which is just around the corner. Gosh, I can’t wait for Diwali. It would be the first Diwali in our new home. We need to do lots of shopping and planning. On a personal note, I need to catch up with some friends over tea and coffee, getting in new flower pots and shrubs for my garden and the lists goes on and on.
Hubby has suggested to go for a new website. Our own website, YAY! I would need some domain name and web hosting suggestions. Anyone out there to give us a few tips?
We have not watched enough movies lately. I think the last movie we watched was … aarr… wait, i can remember…yes i can, come on! yikes! It’s been a while since we sat and watched a movie together! Right now I am hooked on Khuda Jaane, from Bachna Ae Haseeno. I love the song!
Life here can be pretty routine and hectic sometimes. I need to catch up on some reading. I love Sophie Kinsella’s array of books. They are very amusing, witty and fun to read. It is sort of a way to relax at the end of the day, with a nice book and a cup of bubble tea. Yum! I would read and provide review on the book once it’s completed.
I just discovered Tumblr. I think it’s a cool medium for short blog on links, photos, videos and many cool features. Check it out, I’ve created a link on the right bar labeled Tumblr.

I have came across many Indians in my life. My families are one such example, though we were born and brought up in Malaysia. Our blood line traces all the way back to our ancestors, traveled from India to Malaysia decades ago. Though legally I am not an Indian citizen, I genuinely believe I am an Indian in my heart and soul. In fact, my families bore the same sentiments. I was brought up very strictly (“Indian-ly”), infused with Indian mannerism and etiquette. Society is ill-behaving at a very high level in this generation. I consider myself very lucky being an Indian. I think I am doing well over than just fine in comparison to what I witness daily.
These past few years, we are challenged with many news orchestrating human misbehavior’s. Many unethical, racism and debacle issues surfaced. Why does any one chooses to be selfish? Why are some of this narrow-minded society crib about pettiness and cultural comparison? This is an apparent case of “display of hatred” and violence. Why can’t we all (no matter race, color, culture and gender) live the path of harmony and quintessential peace? By unity, only then we achieve Independence and understand the pure meaning of freedom, struggle by our ancestors and repent from our past.
I am dedicating this post to my ancestors (rest in peace), my husband, families and all my friends (each and every one of you) that help mold the Indian culture and kept it’s beauty flourishing and the spirit burning alive. Without you, there would not be any “freedom”. God bless and Happy Independence India. I am *oh* so proud 😀
JAI HIND!
How exciting! Finally, Tarun’s dream has realized today. We had a homeowners orientation on Jan 10th and today, it was the final walk through and sign-off for the house keys. We are still trying to grasp all these moments as it unfolds. I am finding it hard to believe that all of this wonderful events has and are taking place in our lives. Pinch me please!
Did I mentioned ‘how exciting’ way too much today? I guess, why not?
