2010

After a wonderful night out to celebrate new year, we all woke up very bright and not-so early to enjoy our vacation. Let the fun begin 🙂 A mini-shuttle ride was so refreshing. We sung, danced and clicked photos all day long. I miss everyone.

My brain has been so idle. Been entertaining so many guests lately. Endless round trips to Disney theme parks & shopping. It’s ME time now and a breather 🙂 I’ve been busy tweaking my blog design whenever time permits. And of course, if you are following my tweets, you’d notice the changing themes on my twitter background as well. Presently, I’m a design geek.

Many of my blog friends are on blog “vacation” as well. Miss their rantings. My writing adventures are also stand still at the moment. I would regroup once I’m done with understanding the CSS coding and structuring. I told ya. I’m in a geeky mode 😀

Over and out.

Oil is gushing in the Gulf. Ocean life is massively devastated. Fishermen are going broke. Industries dependent on Gulf and Gulf oil are facing huge losses.

So, who is to blame?  Who is responsible for drilling? Who is responsible for the rig? Who buys oil from them? Rig owner is Transocean. Rig contractor is Halliburton. BP only buys oil from them. So now the question is, if I buy gas from a gas station, and it explodes, is it my fault? Because I did not make sure the station follows regulations? Because I buy a lot of gas and hence the owners doesn’t care? What’s the logic? [click to continue…]

Juggling life in overseas, all alone without family, can be daunting. It takes time to adjust into new circle of friends, surroundings and way of life. Self-sufficiency is key here and with summer upon us here in Florida, it’s blisteringly hot! Just running around the town to complete errands is a sigh these days. Self-pampering is also very costly. But I’ve found a home remedy for aching feet 🙂 [click to continue…]

My idea of a girlfriend getaway would be me and my girlfriends ditching our daily responsibilities to our husbands, disappear to Bora Bora island, swim, relax and rejuvenate with endless massages. A wishful thinking 😉 But thanks to Southern Chevy dealers, we were able to at least fulfill one of our dreamy getaway wish. As a Girl on the Go blogger, Mission 3 this week was about massages. How can a girl refuse one, right?

———

My girlfriend Niti and I had a tranquil massage this morning at Massage Envy, courtesy of Southern Chevy dealers :) It was a blissful pampering session. After the massage we grabbed some breakfast and discussed the massage and Malibu experience. So girly, I know ;) Niti had some remarks about the Chevy Malibu:

For a Sedan, Malibu is so spacious. Air conditioner is definitely powerful, especially in this blisteringly hot Florida weather. Love the “remote start” function. You need all the help you can get by climate controlling your car even before getting into the Chevy Malibu :)

Niti was a little shy to appear on the video. But she did a great job! I also shared some tips in the video for before and after getting massages:

Everyone deserves some pampering once in a while. Visit your Southern Chevy dealer in Florida, test drive any new Chevy, and receive a 1 hour complimentary massage from Massage Envy! Hello! Who doesn’t want a free massage??!!

So tell me, what is your favorite getaway?
