All in one day. After sweeping up a\u00a0huge mess created after breaking the teacup, I proceeded to nurse my bruised ego by preparing a luscious bowl of oatmeal for breakfast.<\/p>\n<p>If only I used a plastic bowl for this. You&#8217;ve guessed it right! I broke another bowl. Thankfully, it was not a favorite one. I had a flask (thermos) and a few jars\u00a0filled with some science experiment awaiting to produce results while incubating\u00a0cozily.<\/p>\n<p>And the final results revealed luscious homemade yogurt.<\/p>\n<p>Oatmeal out, fresh yogurt with berries was served for breakfast. Heat milk on medium and with a clean wooden spoon, stir milk every now and then to avoid burn. Heat\u00a0milk up to 180F (82C).<\/li>\n<li>Once the milk heats to 180F, remove from heat and allow the milk to cool down to 115F (45C).<\/li>\n<li>Meantime, add boiling hot water into clean thermos. This process is crucial to sterilize and prepare the thermos for incubation. Screw the lid on.<\/li>\n<li>Dissolve one packet (5 grams) of <a href=\"http:\/\/amzn.to\/1p1FKMz\" target=\"_blank\">yogurt starter<\/a> with a small quantity of cool milk in a cup\u00a0and mix well. Pour this mixture back into the saucepan with cool milk and mix well.<\/li>\n<li>Discard hot water out of the thermos. Add the prepared milk and screw the lid on.<\/li>\n<li>Wrap thermos with a few kitchen towels and incubate, undisturbed, in the oven (or any warm spot around your home) between 7 to 12 hours (preferably, overnight).<\/li>\n<li>Refrigerate for a minimum of 3 hours once incubation is completed.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Important notes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you prefer using starter from your favorite yogurt, make sure to use fresh yogurt with &#8220;live cultures&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>Raw milk is the best, but any pasteurized organic milk would work great.
