J<\/span>ust returned from a glorious run. First I thought it would be impossible to get myself out there. But having chowed down on delicious french toast this morning – smothered in butter, nutella and peanut butter – it was more than a convincing reason to workout.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Just when I thought the reason to run was good enough, \u00a0my momentum toned way down when I couldn’t get the ipod shuffle working. So I altered my initial plan and just stuck to a simple and short run. Something always better than nothing.<\/p>\n While I was cruising around the neighborhood block, my mind begin racing with different thoughts. I recalled reading a recent article on gender inequality.<\/p>\n There’s more literature such as “men are from mars, women are from venus<\/em>” and “why men don’t listen and women can’t read maps<\/em>” out there, questioning and provoking stereotypical nuances in our society.<\/p>\n Don’t people read\u00a0normal\u00a0books anymore?<\/p>\n What bothers me the most is when women are stereotyped even for not being able to read maps.\u00a0I literally hate learning maps. Not that I don’t know how to decipher it. I choose not to have any interest in spending my time sopping over bunch of maps. That’s what the Husband is good at. I mean, why to mess a perfect opportunity or a chance for the Husband to gloat?<\/p>\n Garnered men and women are different in so many ways. And those differences exist to balance out in the\u00a0relationship.\u00a0I don’t name-call the Husband if he isn’t good at cooking. We are not supposed to be good at everything. It’s best to think it this way – I think we complement each other very well with the skills that we excel, individually.<\/p>\n All these thoughts surely kicks up the adrenaline and energy. I think I should stick to running thoughts<\/em> similar to this one just so I could squeeze in a great workout.<\/p>\n
