Sautéed Asparagus with Pecans

Ingredients

  • 1 lb asparagus, trimmed
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup of pecans & sunflower seeds, unsalted

Directions

  1. Add butter in a non stick skillet on a medium low heat temperature.
  2. Do not brown or burn the butter. Throw in garlic and red pepper flakes. Stir till fragrant.
  3. Add asparagus, increase to medium high heat and saute for 1 minute.
  4. Squeeze some lemon juice and a dash of salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Sprinkle in some chopped nuts and remove to serve immediately.
