Hi friends!

Its Friday and supposedly, a relaxing day before weekend hits. But unfortunately, I’ll be ranting today. And I hope you’ll chime in with opinions and advice. So here it goes….

————————————————

Dear Spiteful Souls,

Thank you for reading this space and trying the recipes here. However, every recipe on this space is not for everyone. There’s no way I’ll be able to create recipes to suit each and every palate out there.

Wish I could, but it’s impossible 😉

Avocado & Matcha Chai Shake | KiranTarun.com

I wanted to thank you personally for your attempts at ruining my day when I read that spiteful comments or emails sent my way. Whatever your motives were, let me assure you it didn’t work on me. My days weren’t ruined. In fact, I feel sorry for people like you who go around tearing others down.

Perhaps you need a reality check in the morale department? Whatever may be your issues, I suggest you begin seeking professional help.

Avocado & Matcha Chai Shake | KiranTarun.com

Being kind is free. It won’t cost us a dime to be nice to each other. I welcome constructive critism but that has to come with respect. Just because there’s a comment box and my email address to your disposal, that doesn’t give you the right to be spiteful.

Not to me, my family or anyone else.

Avocado & Matcha Chai Shake | KiranTarun.com

As a reminder, this space is mine. I spew my creativity all over it. I give it all with respect and kindness and I demand the same in return.

If you don’t like the outcome of a recipe, kindly email or comment what went wrong. Nasty emails and comments are just plain spiteful and won’t be tolerated. I chose to share my recipes with everyone and the tone has always been positive. It should always work both ways.

Have a great day, because I’m sure about mine.

All the best, Kiran Srivastava

Phew! Ranting on a Friday is definitely not my thing. But this issue needed to be addressed. For precautionary, this shake has avocados, green tea powder and chai flavors. If you love any one of this ingredients, chances are you’ll like this recipe.

If not, give it a shot anyways and kindly let me know how it tastes, good or otherwise.

Kiran: I couldn’t agree more with you. There are many bitter souls in this world needing a reality check. It is impossible to suit everyone’s palate for sure. If there is something that I take pride is in my correct recipes as a trained Chef. If people follow them correctly, everything will turn right yet there are a few people that came to spill their crazyness over me. They have to understand that we owe them nothing. They don’t pay us a cent. In addition, they are not forced to come to our spaces. The most absurd case that I got once it was from someone who complained why her comment was not approved (It was so ridiculous that I thought it was a spam and deleted). Instead of asking me nicely, she used foul language. I replied her by email. She seems to have learned the lesson because never ever more she came to my space and misbehaved. Well, insane people is everywhere unfortunately! I am glad that you are Ok. Keep doing what you do best: Delight us with your wonderful food and photography. xo

Aw, Kiran, I’m sorry that you’ve received mean comments/emails. I really don’t understand why people do things like that…it must make them feel better about themselves or something? Also, I think that if anything you should be flattered, because haters only bother “hating” on successful people (i.e. they don’t care about little ole’ bloggers like me). I’m glad you haven’t let them get you down. Anyway, I think that your recipes ALL sound delicious…especially this one! Oh man, chai in a shake is such a good idea!!! Happy Friday!

47 Anne ~ Uni Homemaker October 13, 2013 at 1:32 AM

I hate overly critical bloggers/random fools who has nothing better to do than to criticize negatively. When I first started blogging, there was a blogger I follow regularly. He took amazing photos but he was super critical of himself and others. Every time I compliment him, he always have something negative to say about his work. Fine, it’s his prerogative. But when he came over to my blog to comment, he’ll say negative things like… I prefer this, I’m not into that… It was starting to be a constant thing that I got super annoyed one day and I did the same thing back on his blog just to see how he felt. He stopped commenting on mine and vice versa. Bottom line –If you have nothing nice to say, don’t say ANYTHING PERIOD! And not everyone likes the same thing so for me, I agree, –constructive comments are welcome but pettiness & spite is just bad form. Don’t you agree? Sorry for the rant…. Avocado and green tea are awesome together. And this is the prettiest shake I have ever seen! Enjoy the rest of your weekend Kiran. 🙂

I have once been attacked about the ‘authenticity’ of my recipe. I found that a little strange since recipes are altered and personalised by every family…when we bloggers write recipes and share them with the world, we assume that whoever is trying to make it has a certain level of skill…now if whoever is trying it out is a rank beginner and can’t even boil water properly the mess in the kitchen is certainly not our responsibility! That said love your shake…the combination is unusual for me and the photographs are as usual gorgeous 🙂

For some people, it’s easier to be mean than nice. Every now and then someone takes the time to write a nice email and I’m flying high as a kite for a week. I’d rather hang around those people, thank you! Rant away! I think we all should do it more often!

I missed this post but had to check it out when you referred to it today. First and foremost; the need for abject nastiness is on THEM; there is no excuse for that ever. We’re human, we will disagree; something you love might not sit as well with me but different strokes for different folks is perfectly OK. What is not OK is someone attacking you for what YOU like and they don’t.

I sometimes wish commenting was more conversational; more a study in those differences but that never seems the case. If I’m honest I don’t covet comments like many bloggers; that habit of commenting for the sake of commenting breeds vacuous and meaningless words. I want to hear from friends and readers with their true thoughts…just not said in a hurtful manner!

You always offer interesting dishes with beautiful photographs and I say that with sincere meaning to every word!

I had never had comments yet in my blog because I am still new.But I cannot imagine receiving bad comments when we, bloggers, put so much effort in our blog. I do not post food recipe that I do not like. If a recipe makes it to my blog, that means that I liked it and my family liked it too. When I share my recipes it is for good intention of sharing what I like. To receive such comments will certainly break me. I hope they will not come. I am not sure if you are aware of it, but you can actually moderate the comments in your blog. You go to settings and there is comment moderation there. I am glad you got over it quickly.

Dear Kiran,
Hi, I’m new to your website and the reason why I came across it was because I was looking for the Avocado Milk Pudding thing that she has in the morning, and I guess yours seems the closest to it. Then, I read your blog on this page and I don’t know what happen, but I’m sorry that there were people out there that ruined your day. My mother always taught me treat others how you would like to be treated and if you don’t have anything nice to sat, then please just keep your mouth closed until you do.
I have tried some of your other recipes and they were quite yummy 🙂 and some I tweeked just a bit to suit my taste buds. I love your writing and your pictures so keep it up because you have a fan in me 🙂
