Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me!
bla..bla…bla..bla… Happy Birthday to me.
And that my friends is how one crosses the boundary of self-loathing by wishing herself a very Happy Birthday. Ha! Singing for myself is so self-rewarding. I’d love to think it that way.
The selfish gesture is simply because I am so grateful to my parents for having me in their life! Thank you Mommy & Daddy <3
I love you, Husband. For your support, advise and tolerating my occasional ranting. It’s earful all the time, but you are a champ.
Words cannot describe how much I LOVE my siblings, extended families and friends.
I am also very grateful we are alive and well after the accident a few weeks ago. Nothing serious, but by just taking a moment to be thankful, it wouldn’t hurt one bit.
Last but not least, I cannot express enough appreciation to YOU — each and every one of YOU who makes the effort to drop in, comment and support the insanity in me all these years.
THANK YOU for making it special, each and every day!!!
Gosh, this post is truly sounding like a speech I would give during Academy Awards nomination. But there’s something so important that I need to share before I burst from all the excitement:
- Sorry, but I didn’t had enough time to do a Birthday v-log this year.
- So sorry, NO recipe is posted today — it’s officially a self-declared OFF DAY
- I am one of the finalist selected by SAVEUR Magazine for it’s 3rd Annual 2012 Best Food Blog award (in Best Recipe, Sweet or Savory category)!!!
Thank you so much for the honor, Savuer!!! I almost threw up in excitement.
Truly appreciate it if you can find time to register and VOTE for me (my recipe is labeled as “Kiran Tarun”). If you haven’t registered as a member of Saveur, it’s so simple and free:
- Register or Log in.
- Click the banner above or here to vote in my category (Best Recipe, Sweet or Savory).
- Click on the image labeled as (“Kiran Tarun”).
- Scroll to click “VOTE”.
- And you are done!
What more can a girl ask on her birthday (besides shopping!). Thank you so so much for your love, wishes, support and vote. Here is the nominated “Paneer Tikka Pizza” recipe. Wahoo!! I am off to wipe away tears of joy
