Have you tried Avocado’s? What are your favorite way of using it?
Avocado ice cream recipe adapted from my lovely friends, Bahar & Sami
Ingredients
- 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream
- 2 oz milk
- 1/2 avocado flesh
- 1 tsp honey
- chopped pistachios for garnish
Directions
- Blend 1 scoop of ice cream, milk and avocado.
- In a serving bowl, add 1 scoop ice cream. Top it off with the blended avocado.
- Drizzle over some honey and garnish it with chopped pistachios.
Try substituting ice cream with yogurt. I am sure it would taste as fabulous.

I bet this wonderful. We had an avocado tree in our backyard when we lived in Naples, FL. I sure miss that. Fresh!!!!

I just accepted your friendship on the Tasty Kitchen forum a few minutes ago and came by to check out your blog. I love avocados! Mmm. I mostly use them to make a very simple guacamole, sometimes in a sandwich or on a burger, but avocado ice cream sounds awesome! My husband is from the Philippines and I have had a sweetened avocado dessert that I think was made from pureed avocado and sweetened condensed milk. I’ll have to try to figure out how to make that again.

I always mash avocado really well and then stir it through softened vanilla ice cream though I hate avocado any other time! Great recipe
