Breakfast and a giveaway!

I am a breakfast person. Well some times πŸ™‚ But when I am in a good mood for a tasty breakfast, I usually just go with simplicious. Yes, a simple and delicious breakfast combo.

Simple = A bagel or bread.

Delicious = Almond or peanut butter.

A side serving of fruits and coffee/tea of course.

What is your favorite breakfast combo?

I love Naturally Nutty products. Sometimes we misjudge how tasty organic foods can be. I thought the same when I received my order a few weeks ago. After a bite, I knew that every spoonful of deliciousness is packed with organic hemp and flax seeds. I am so hooked into Vanilla Almond Butter. My favorite thus far πŸ™‚ This is my first almond butter taste test, and I am never looking back.

Hubby, if you are reading this – we need to keep a separate budget for these nut butters πŸ™‚

I wrote an appreciation email to Katie, founder and president of Naturally Nutty Food Inc and raved about her delicious and wholesome creations. Katie is so happy that we are enjoying her goodies so much, she has given me an opportunity to work along side with her to organize a giveaway in loving memory of her father-in-law, who recently passed away.

Katie would like to send 2 of my readers a jar of her famous nut butter (your choice of flavor). In return I want you my dear readers, to please share in the comment section below, something memorable, special, touching, funny etc about your own dad or father figure. The comment on this post will close on Thursday Oct 28th midnight, and I’ll announce the 2 lucky winners on Friday, Oct 29th.

I would begin the giveaway by sharing something memorable about my dear Uncle Jas. Lovely happy memories whilst growing up in a joint family. We were always given lunch without pocket money. Tough economy. My Uncle Jas was a thrift with his money and never failed to teach us the value of savings. So much so, that he would even save a few cents worth by skipping his tea break. Many times he would dig into his savings to buy us all ice creams that would cost more than his cup of tea. He’s my hero, in the financial world. Thanks Uncle Jas, I am officially a thrift as well πŸ˜€

We are so sorry for your loss Katie & family, and truly grateful for the opportunity to honor in loving memory of your father-in-law. May he rests in peace.

Comment away everyone, and good luck!

Ooooh, I love Naturally Nutty nut butter πŸ™‚
My dad is the most logical/sensible person I know. He’s who I go to for advice because he is always objective and rational. I love that! On a funny note, I love watching my dad play with my dog. My dog loves him and always teases him, plays fetch with him, and cuddles him when we come visit. It’s really cute πŸ™‚

yummm…I hope I win!
I could not have asked for a better dad! We are exact opposites. While I am a very prone to anxiety perfectionist- he has a more realistic view on life. He doesn’t take things too seriously, is always good humored, and accepts what life throws at him. I am so glad some of his carefree attitude rubbed off on me- he taught me that life is so much more enjoyable if you aren’t uptight all the time!

I heart nut butters and these ones sound absolutely deVINE!

I have so many fond and special memories with my dad but I think the one that stands out the most to me would be the first time he held my son after his birth. You could just see the love and his heart melt at this little boy that he didn’t have to discipline or parent, but that he could spoil, love and then give back when he started to cry πŸ™‚ I look forward to many more bonding moments between them πŸ™‚

Hi Stephanie,
Welcome to Chatterbox and thanks for your participation πŸ™‚ I’ve tried many nut butters, but nothing comes close to Katie’s organic creations.

My dad works away from home so when he does come back, he usually hugs me and brings breakfast he bought from the bakery nearby. It’s always delicious and fantastic!

Now you made me hungry with all those yummy food, Kiran. πŸ™‚ Well, I’m sure all dads are just as special. I respect my dad a lot, he’s amazing! I remember when I was little, he took me to school and it was my first day, I freaked out! But he promised he’ll be at the gate when the school’s over, and he never missed, always ON time. He taught me a great deal about responsibility, and never once he questions our ability to strive for our dreams in life. I thank God for him and mom. πŸ™‚

I love Naturally Nutty! It is a great splurge! One of my favorite memories with my dad was camping during a father/daughter weekend. We hiked up a mountain and at then end went in a freezing cold lake together. We still laugh about it to this day.

Hi! I found your blog through Fitblogger! Glad to be here!

My fondest memory of my Dad is teaching me how to ride my bicycle. He would get so angry and frustrated, because I was scared to death and wouldn’t follow his directions. At the time, I was crying and upset, because I just couldn’t get the hang of it. When I finally got it, he was running up and down the street cheering beside me. It is a great memory!
